Inaugural Post

Going to try this blogging thing for the umpteenth time. Now that I am pregnant, and practically everyone knows I figured this would be a good way for me to chronicle my final trimester and allow family and friends to see whats going on with baby and I.

There will be personal things. If you come across something you're not fond of, please skip right on by. If you come across something you're fond of, please share. :)

Lately, I've been pinning everything under the sun. For the pregnancy, for the baby, for me, for daddy.

I mean, everything. See Here.

Half this stuff I probably won't use, but other stuff that I actually get the chance to read before saving, has some great hints. I might not be a mom yet, but one thing I've learned: planning is essential, plans are useless. I have a feeling baby will just reinforce this.

Our little family expanded about 6 weeks ago when we picked up our 7 week old Vizsla puppy, Copper. K saw her, tail between her legs, afraid of everything, he went over to her, she wasn't afraid of him and that was it. She was his, er, ours.

Puppies have energy. Vizsla puppies have a TON of energy. They are also very smart. And cute.

See? That's her at 7.5 weeks old. (Collective "awwwe")

And when they sleep, they are sooooooppper cyoot.

She slept a good amount the first 3 weeks. Now? Now we prefer to play more than sleep.

(We figured out we could just jump up there. New play place!)

I am getting slower and slower every day. Needless to say, Mommy does not play as fun as Daddy does. Because, mom can't speed walk without her abdomen pulling. (This is strange for mom, we'll add to that another time.)

So between trying to train/exercise our beautiful, growing, hyper puppy I am trying to:

-unpack from our move into our new home from August (we're mostly in, maybe in 5 years we'll be unpacked)
-prepare for our firstborn (registry, nursery, how to be a parent) arriving April 2016
-prepare for our wedding in October of 2016
-keep myself healthy for baby & for me to go back to being myself after baby arrives

I'm starting to nest. K's been really good with this too. And in between his jobs he really tries to help me pick up and move things I don't have the energy to, or physically can't.

So, this blog thing.. it's gonna be a little bit baby bump, a little bit furmommy, a little bit firefighter wife all rolled into one. Things I find interesting and what I agree with I'll note, things that I don't, I'll note. Hopefully there will be some humor and this will be a constructive place to grow and learn! :o)

Week 17.

At 23 weeks. The bump got a little bigger!! :) -it's been unseasonably, uncomfortably warm in Jersey, that's why my comforter is on my floor, and when I tried to pick it up a particular little puppy said that it was comfortable and she would prefer we leave it for her. :-/-
